Southeastern Permaculture Gathering

CircleThe 2010 gathering, our 17th annual, was a magical celebration of our permaculture family. The ceremony for releasing grief and the circle for Frank Cook were very powerful.

Thanks to all who attended and the many hands that made light work for us all.

Frank Cook

Frank CookThis years gathering was dedicated to Frank Cook, a most amazing ethnobotanist and humanitarian who left his physical body shortly after last year’s Southeastern Permaculture Gathering. Frank attended our gathering at least 12 times. He was a frequent facilitator of plant walks and guided journeys of Plant Spirit Medicine as well as many other topics.

Arthur Morgan School

Our gathering is held in Celo at The Arthur Morgan School, which provides a safe and loving environment where 27 day and boarding school students in grades 7, 8 and 9 learn to question and evaluate, think creatively and work cooperatively.

Students and staff honor the Quaker values of simplicity, responsibility, service, personal integrity, nonviolent conflict resolution and respect for self, others and the environment.
