Southeastern Permaculture Gathering
Come to our 17th annual gathering, August 6-8, 2010 at the beautiful Arthur Morgan School in Celo, NC. The gathering has been described as “one part festival, one part nature retreat, one part conference, and one part family reunion – they all blend so beautifully together.”
We have reached our limit for the 2010 gathering and registration is now closed.
We've added a Thursday Workshop at Joe Hollis's Mountain Gardens on Thursday. You can still register for the Mountain Gardens Workshop.

A One-Day Workshop At Mountain Gardens
Thursday, August 5, 10 A.M. - 5 P.M.
We've recently added a Thursday workshop at Mountain Gardens in conjunction with this year's gathering. Mountain Gardens is 2 miles from the gathering site and is an amazing "visionary ecological theater."
The workshop is $50. No lunch is provided, so bring your own. You can register here.
Joe Hollis has been developing Mountain Gardens as a 'Paradise Garden' since 1972. This workshop will provide an introduction to all the aspects of the project: garden design, new crops, perennial vegetables, medicinal herbs, apothecary, alternative energy and low-cost building, etc. and discussion of its philosophical basis, economics and historical development.

We remember Frank
This years gathering is dedicated to Frank Cook, a most amazing ethnobotanist and humanitarian who left his physical body shortly after last year’s Southeastern Permaculture Gathering (PC Gathering). Frank attended the PC Gathering at least 12 times. He was a frequent facilitator of plant walks and guided journeys of Plant Spirit Medicine as well as many other topics.

Arthur Morgan School
Our gathering is held in Celo at The Arthur Morgan School, which provides a safe and loving environment where 27 day and boarding school students in grades 7, 8 and 9 learn to question and evaluate, think creatively and work cooperatively.
Students and staff honor the Quaker values of simplicity, responsibility, service, personal integrity, nonviolent conflict resolution and respect for self, others and the environment.
